Pottery Studio is a ceramics studio in Philadelphia offering pottery wheel classes, hand-building workshops, and paint-your-own pottery experiences. We welcome everyone — individuals, couples, families, and private groups — whether you're planning a creative night out, trying something new, or celebrating a birthday, team event, or special occasion.

Who are the classes for?
ANSWER
For everyone ages 3 and up. Kids, teens, adults, total beginners — no experience is required. About 90% of our guests try pottery for the first time here.

When do classes take place?
ANSWER
Classes run daily, from morning to evening. A typical session lasts around 2 hours and includes instruction, hands-on practice, and guidance from an instructor..

What will I do during the class?
ANSWER
You will make dishes and other tableware items based on your own designs. You could make a mug, glass, vase, bowl, candle holder, aroma lamp, jar or something else.

How much does it cost?
ANSWER
Our standard pottery classes start at $90 per person for a 2-hour session, including all materials and kiln firing. Classes that include glazing or pottery painting are typically around $130, depending on the class format.

Can I book a private event or group class?
ANSWER
Yes! We host private group events for up to 20 guests. Perfect for birthdays, bachelorette parties, corporate team building, date nights, and special celebrations.

What’s included in the class?
ANSWER
Clay, tools, use of the pottery wheel, instructor guidance, and firing of your piece. Glazing or painting is included if you choose that type of class.
QUESTION
When can I pick up my finished pottery?
ANSWER
After the class, your piece needs time to dry and be fired in the kiln. This usually takes 2–3 weeks. Once ready, you can pick it up at the studio.

Do I need any prior experience?
ANSWER
Nope. Zero experience required. Our instructors guide you step by step — just show up ready to get your hands dirty (in a good way).

You can sign up using the form on our website or by giving us a call. Please note that submitting a request doesn’t automatically confirm your registration — our manager will reach out to you to confirm your booking.
Our studio manager will help you with the schedule, available dates, and choosing the best format for you.

Come at the scheduled time. You’ll have time to settle in before the class starts. You can also decorate the studio for free.

The instructor will introduce you to the materials and tools, explain the techniques, and help you decide on the design of your clay piece. All necessary materials are included in the price.

With the guidance of the instructor, participants will start creating their own clay pieces. The instructor will assist at every step, creating an atmosphere that helps everyone express their creativity.

Once you’ve made your clay masterpiece, you can celebrate your special occasion! Order food delivery, bring your own cake and drinks — no extra charges.
7. Final result
Your work will stay in the studio for firing. You can pick it up in about 2-3 weeks.
In the end, you get not only a creative experience but also a memorable souvenir.
